The Beginning...

Moloney Celtic Tours were established in April 2010 when our very first Irish Tour was so successful. A very enthusiastic group from Montauk Public School spent an exciting week exploring many historical sites, enjoying musical Pubs, sightseeing, and enjoying the varied and beautiful countryside. The Tour Guide, Mike O’ Neil and our own Tour Director Patrick Moloney, were knowledgeable, friendly, and exposed us to many aspects of Irish Culture. Every detail of the trip was complete and planned with just enough free time to explore on your own and included in initial price. Our Tours can be tailored to group size and desires. Moloney Celtic Tours always make sure you “Travel Like a Local”.

Since our fantastic 2010 tour, Moloney Celtic Tours has genuinely broadened our horizons. We have since headed to the west of Ireland and spent magical nights in Ashford Castle enjoying the excellent food and exciting activities such as Falconry. We’ve visited Galway with its lively Irish music and nightlife. During subsequent tours, we’ve visited the Burren, and the walking tour visited a working sheep farm and enjoyed the fantastic and beautiful ring of Kerry and Valencia and Aran islands.

We also traveled to Northern Ireland including the famous walking tour on the walls of Derry, strolled through the Belfast Titanic museum and the famous Belfast Black cab Tour with a deep inside of the History of the area. We’ve toured the beautiful Antrim coastline with stops at the Giants Causeway and Carrigaline rope bridge.

Our travelers also enjoyed exciting visits to Dublin City with its many sights, such as Trinity College Book of Kells, a fantastic literary pub tour, and even enjoyed a pint of the black stuff at the famous Guinness Storehouse Tour. Everyone had ample time to enjoy the quaint, historic cobblestone streets, many old pubs and of course lots of Irish music and CRAIC (Irish for fun).

We now offer tours to Scotland with visits to the Isle of Sky and the famous fairy pools. We have enjoyed Glasgow and its nightlife, Edinburgh and so many tours of beautiful, historic castles and the Royal Mile. And for the superstitious types, we visited Loch Ness to spot Nessie and cruised on Loch Almond. Our tours have grown with the desires and needs of our clientele, and at the same time, what drives us is the desire to custom tailor each trip to the likes and temperament of the people who desire an enjoyable, varied and exciting taste of the Emerald Isle.
